An Inspirational Story

"... try and try until you succeed and get you want to achieve..co'z being handicapped is not a hindrances to achieve our goal in life..."

Do you think that being handicapped has no hopes in life and can’t stand in their own and cannot survive in this real world?

The answer for this question is a big No-no. Being handicapped is not a hindrance to survive in this world neither not a hindrance to achieve our goals and our dreams in our life.

Truly, being handicapped is a big hindrance in our daily life, sometimes people are teasing you of being handicapped. But people, don’t put yourself in that kind of emotion and mental abilities. Try to watch this video and surely your heart will be moved and be softened.

The video was truly an inspirational. I watched it before during our revival in our church. That time, I can’t control myself but to cry. As I watched it, I was so totally affected on its story. Truly, his story was impeccable and wonderful story.

The message tells us that being handicapped is not a hindrance to survive life, to achieve our goals and dreams in life. As you can see, he’s like a penguin with a short foot, no-hands and has a tail, but these were not hindrances to stand on his will. He tries his best to stand on her own even though he tried for a hundred times, as he said “…whatever how many times you tried, but the victory is sweet, .. You mustn’t give up easily when you are tired of trying things that you think it can’t be achievable…” This quote that he tells moves my heart. It tells that try and try until you succeeds, even though how many times you have tried and yet you haven’t achieve it, even a small progress as we tried helps us to lean more forward, because these little things is our stepping stones to achieve our biggest goal in life.

I was so really inspired on his story, I can say that I am so lucky to have a complete body parts and can stand, can walk I’m my own, but him, he really tried his best to stand in his own. That’s why I realize even small things in my life; I must appreciate it and take care of them. And as I try to achieve my goal, don’t be easily given up, because maybe its not the right time to get what have you wanted, but if you try and try and believe that you van have it, surely you will receive it,

This story doesn’t inspire me but also inspired other people. In my life, I make my life valuable enough to inspire others. By little things that I may do, surely I inspired others and it is surely comes from the bottom of my hart.

Have you seen the 7 wonderful falls here in Lake Sebu? It is magnificent isn’t it?

Yes, it is magnificent. The seven falls found in Lake Sebu in Surala, South cotabato is elegant and gorgeous enough to be proud of by the people there.

It was our fieldtrip in our Science Camp that we had given a chance to trip around the Lake sebu and seen the wonderful seven falls. We were amazed how beautiful it is.

From the foot of the forest is the first stop in order that we can enter in the first falls. We, the campers hiked about 20 minutes before arriving in the said falls. it was so tall, and we took pictures near its foot. Actually, we want to swim but we are not allowed to do it, but it was so beautiful that our Mother Nature has.

Next, we climb the 777 steps of ladder towards the second falls. I really don’t think so if my counting is correct if it s 777 steps, but I’m pretty sure that it is 700+ steps. Upon arriving on the second falls, we just allowed to view it beside it. You can see the fog that it created, the water shattering upon it, and th rocks that makes the falls more beautiful and elegant.

The third falls, I think it is the highest falls among the seven. Im not sure if it is correct but ican say and as what I observed it was the highest falls. the view is also beautiful, but the most jaw-dropping view is when you climb up in their hill, there you can see how beautiful and amazing it is. You can see the water splashing on the stone, the light that struck the water that created a sparkle light on it as you can seen. The light that strucks that stones makes a wonderful crystal light that created a rainbow colored light. We took some pictures and it was a happy trip.

After the third falls, we decided that we shall took a zipline so that we cann seen the rest 4 falls left. The zipline started from the fist fall down to the sevent flls. In other words, while you were riding the zipline, you cann seen the seven falls. it was so beautiful and I was so amazes how the people there preserved the falls.

After the trip I was so contented that I joined the camp. Its cost is worthy enough that the students may be contented. It was worth to enjoy the majestically wonderful seven falls. Its truly to be preserved and be proud of by the people there and become a tourist spot of that place.

#5 "Making Difference is what a Hero will do"

"the power of one --- yes, one person can make a difference in the world. Small differences can mark the beginning of substantial change."

- Craig Kielburger

This was the phrase that makes Craig Kielburg my hero.
It makes sense, that small differences can mark the beginning of substantial change.

When he was 12, he started to help the young children on his place. He was so absurd on his emotions that was attached on the needy children.

i was so amazed on his attitude because of his organization that help the poor children.

#4 "YES!!!.. It's UNBELIEVABLE!!.., but it's TRUE!"

UNBELIEVABLE!

This was most people say when they heard some stories about ghost or a soul who appear and revealing their selves to us in an unexpected ways.

Actually, when our teacher told us to write a blog about this topic, frankly, I have no idea and I’ve got a hard time to write about this because literally, I haven’t experienced such a thing about this kind of feeling. Later on, I remembered a movie where I thought suited for this topic. The movie was Charlie St. Cloud.

Charlie St. Cloud (age 15) and Sam (12) are two brothers with a love so strong, no force can separate them. When their mom leaves Charlie to babysit Sam, they decide to go to watch a 1991Red Sox baseball game in Boston against the New York Yankees with their pet beagle, Oscar. They "borrow" their neighbor Mrs. Pung's Ford Country Squire. On the way there they cannot decide which CD to listen to. As they cross theGeneral Edwards bridge on the Saugus River, on the way home, Charlie decides to take a look at the moon to see if Sam was right about the moon being larger that night. Charlie does not see an 18-wheeler truck come and they end up tumbling twice crushing Sam along the way. When they are dead, they find themselves close to the cemetery in Marblehead, the town where they live. Sam is scared and Charlie makes a promise that they will never abandon each other. However, Charlie gets resuscitated in an ambulance by a religious paramedic, Florio Ferrente and carries on living.

Five years later, Charlie has grown up and is working at the Marblehead cemetery. Every evening at dusk he goes to a nearby forest where he plays with Sam. Charlie has the gift of seeing ghosts. This serves him well as an undertaker, as he can talk with ghosts.

In the town lives Tess Carroll, a yachtswoman who wants to make a round the world trip. A week prior to her departure, she directs her yacht in to a storm to test it, not listening to her shipsman Tink Weatherbee, who told her not to go into the storm. The storm sucks Tess into its grasp and the ship flips, leaving Tess hanging on upside down. Tess appears at the cemetery where her dad is buried. While regarding her father's memorial, she hears a loud clanging noise, which is Charlie scaring away the geese with his methods of banging trash can covers togeher. She remembers Charlie from high school and wonders if he remembers her. They both talk and Charlie ends up asking Tess to come over for dinner that night. Both are not entirely sure of this arrangement for different reasons. Tess is concerned with the fact that she never really was a true believer in love, and Charlie is worried that this could come in between his promise to him and Sam. The next while taking a walk with her dog, Bobo, Tess realizes that people ignore her when Bobo comes off his leash and nobody hears her saying to stop him. She then looks into the water and realizes that her reflection is not there. What is more, she can see Sam St. Cloud, the boy who died 13 years ago.

While at lunch the next day after their date, an officer comes in and states that Tess's boat, the Querencia, has gone missing and parts of the ship have been found. Charlie is shocked at the thought that Tess could be dead. He had heard of "middle ground" where spirits would stay until they were ready to pass over to the next level. He had seen many come and go quickly and others who liked to stay like his brother. In the meantime everyone in the town in possession of a boat, including Charlie, explores the harbor in order to look for Tess's body. Charlie questions his sanity because the night they shared together was so real and Tess was full of life. There was no way she could possibly be gone.

Everyone gives up the search, but then Charlie feels that there is one place he has to go. With Sam's help he finds Tess's body. Tess is transported to a hospital where the doctors stabilize her in a deep coma.

A few months later, Charlie decides to quit his job and move on, bidding a final farewell to Sam, now 25 years old from crossing over. He is now a paramedic at Engine 2 on Franklin Street. During his last visit at the hospital Tess wakes up. Charlie remembers how they met, and Charlie tells her the story of how they met and fell in love at Marblehead Cemetery.

It was a fictional fable movie and a mere love story but it has something sense like talking to a spirit, and I know some people have experienced like that or in other way. Charlie has the capability to see spirits or souls like he used to see the spirit of his brother that was died five years ago, and the soul of a girl which to believe already died. Charlie can communicate on the dead souls.

Based on the movie and from what I have heard, I BELIEVE that dead communicate with the living. I may not sure if it is true or not, but some says it’s true because they already experienced it and some says it’s not. It’s UNBELIEVABLE right??.. but its TRUE!!.. There are many reasons why I believe that dead communicate in the living. One reason is that maybe that person is not ready to die yet and he/she has no choice because it’s already his/her time. The spirit of the person will appear by any means of how he/she sends a feeling of his/her existence on his/her someone she loves or to her family like; appearing in a dream on one of her family and talking to him/her to finish her mission that hasn’t been completed. Another reason is that when the soul haven’t put in a peaceful manner. The most reason that convinced me a lot to believe it, when there was a program in the television discussing, arguing regarding this issue. They eventually invited professional personnel to justify it. And I found out that this is true for those who can see souls or spirits and for those who can feel and experienced. It may sound ridiculous but it is TRUE.

At first, I don’t want to believe that the soul or spirit of a person who died exists here in this world, and there’s such a word spirit exists. During the time of my adolescence, I heard many views, stories or opinions about this topic. Honestly, it’s hard for me to accept the truth that it exists because I haven’t yet experienced it. Later on, due to some reasons I believe that it exists and dead could really communicate people who are still alive. I started to believe it when my dear friend told me that she experienced and felt that her grandma was talking to her who happened to die many years ago. And I have seen many movies and read many books related to these one.

In this existing world there are many mysterious happenings that are hard to accept and believe in unless you can see it for yourself and experienced it. We don’t know why this thing happened but maybe it was the call of nature and part of our evolution of life. It’s up to you whether to believe or not. All of us has own opinions and no one can judge it.

#3 "I Stop to say Thank You to my FAMILY"

"Love of the Family is life's greatest blessing"

We are not in this world if not for our family. Family is our foundation here in this world. Family includes your parents, siblings and relatives. you could also consider your friends, and people that surrounds you even if your not related to each other.

Nowadays, these thoughts and believes are slowly fading due to a fact that most people are too self-centered and too much occupied on themselves. They say family is the most important of all in this world, because if there's no family you are leaving in this world like a zombie with no feelings and companions. As what they have said "NO MAN IS AN ISLAND".

But the question is does most people today value their family especially their parents even their friends?

I thought the answer would be YES, but not all people in this world. As what i have seen to some people who have careers and successful profession already forgot that they have still parents who needs them. Al they did is to send them in a place where there's someone who will care and provide their needs-home for the aged. They really forgot that they parents sacrifice many years for them before they reach their goals. is that what they say "Honor your father and mother"? IS this a way to honor them? Is there a time they thought to say "THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU" to their parents? Does this word really comes to their minds? I don' think so, because if does, they will not dare to it to them.

I want to share to you some parts of my stories in life. There comes a time in my life where i felt like hell and i am surrounded with darkness. I never stop to say "Thank you" anymore to anyone.

I am a product of a broken family. My parents broke up two years ago. few months after they separated, my life got miserable. My studies got affected as well as my social life. During those period were I was struggling to surpass it, I regret for not saying "Thank you and I love you" to my Dad because my heart was filled of anger and hatred against to him. Honestly, neither that time I don't want to see his face nor to her his name, but later on i realized it's no use to have a burden feelings in my heart against to my father. He's still my father after all. After that, I'm back on my normal life. Thus, I started to value my family because I know life is too short. Yes, I regret for not saying Thank you to him, but i know it's still not the end and I can amend my mistakes to him.

If I will be successful Engineer 10 yrs from now, I won't change my attitude towards my family. I will show to them how much I value and love them. And I know that time my mom will got oldies but in spite of that I won't leave my mom. She will always stay in our side even if I have my own family. I will not send my mom in the home for the aged. We, my siblings will care for her until GOD will get her from us.

But now, I can only do is to study hard to finish my studies, get a stable job, support my other siblings and my family, and live a wonderful life with each other. i will show them how much I'm thankful that they are my parents even though my Mom and my Dad will not be back together.

I realized how much painful for me to see those oldies left in the home for the age. I've got pity for them, I can't think what those children of them felt as they left and send their parents on that place. I really cant imagine for all those years they parents sacrificed for then, and they done such a horrible thing. i really don't know if Filipinos are also done these things, but I do hope it's not, but who knows.

Now, I got reminded how much I love my parents and how much I thankful to them.

I do hope, people will not break this tradition to be with their parents because our parents are very essential for our living. They are worthy to hear we say "THANK YOU" to them.

#2 "Am I to be BLAME???"

“Does curiosity kills the cat always?”

I found trouble on looking for the answer about this question. Most people already know and heard the phrase “Curiosity kills the cat” for a long time. When I heard it again, there’s a question that pops out of my mind “Does curiosity kills the cat always?”

First, what does curiosity means? According to the Webster dictionary—it is an interest leading to inquiry. So does it finding an answer out of the questions you made.

Having this kind of attitude is the same as being a critical thinker. How come the curiosity is related to being a critical thinker?. It’s just simple, when you are curious on something you ended up asking questions. It’s the same as being a critical thinker, you are not just reading or listening, you are using your reasoning power to question, evaluate and judge every issue or ideas that you read, discuss and write about it. But the question is, Have you think critically after you read a text/topic or listening to a speaker?

BORING! And it’s SUCKS!!

These words are commonly used by the people to express their emotions after listening to the speaker or reading a topic. In other words, some of them didn’t think critically after they have heard or read. And some of them really understand the ideas that the speaker/author wants to share or to point out.

I myself have a problem these being a critical thinker. Yes, I am a good reader, but I don’t think I am a good writer neither a good critical thinker. I have read many books, specifically, English books. Frankly, my main purpose on reading a book is to have fun, to entertain and get some ideas, but when being a critical thinker enters the way, hmph..I don’t think so.

When I read a book, the first thing that comes up to my mind is to have fun, relaxed and most of all to ease my confusing mind. I don’t usually ask questions what I’ve read, if and only if I’ve got satisfied on it. And when I’m not contented on what is written that is the time I give queries. But most of the time, I leave it that way and give only my comments and suggestions because like what I have said I want to relax and ease my confusing mind. Am I to be BLAME if I grow up like this?

When in terms of listening to a speaker, I got easily destructed and for that I can’t focus and concentrate on what the speaker wants to share about. Like in reading, if I found BORING on the topic that the speaker wants to share I really don’t mind to give my attention to his/her. I am a picky listener, I want a speaker is jolly, have sense, determines to get the attention of his/her audience, can interact well to his/her audience; in short not BORING!. Even though I am a picky listener but I can never say I am a biased listener. In other words my being a picky listener is in the right place, I mean if I am in a church I am not picky whom I want to preach. If the topic is an educated one, frankly, sometimes I forced to listen to the speaker. And later on, when I got interested to the topic, I suddenly raised a question out of curiosity or in need to be answered. I’m glad that they immediately answered my questions I have raised and some of them are not, but I appreciated them because they exerted effort to find out the answer and for that I felt satisfied and contented.

Later on as time passes by I realized that some of our queries are unanswered. That’s why, we have professional who are still looking for an answer to our many questions. Some are out of curiosity and some are based on facts that need common sense or learning.

Thus, for me, the answer above “Does curiosity always kill the Cat?”. Its NO. because just like what I have said, there are unanswered questions, and they are still looking for it

I think my personality of being a critical thinker will only aroused naturally and I can’t recognize it sometimes. But if you ask me, if I am a good critical thinker, well, I’m not. Because, I can’t see any reason to consider myself as a good critical thinker. I can’t blame myself to be like this, because it’s me here myself who is talking to.

If I base my answer from my experience, I could also say I’m not. If I am a good critical thinker, I may be a debater now, or maybe I am genius. Just kidding. Frankly, there’s no reason I could tell it. Maybe, my experience is not enough to consider myself as a good critical thinker. Maybe 5 years from now I can tell it.

Now, it’s up to you to judge me, Am I to be BLAME for the things I have done? To be not good critical thinker??

#1 "My Mission in LIFE"

“My Mission in Life”

Missions?. What is that for?. Am I living in this world for a mission?

Do you know what is the real meaning of mission?. According to the Merriam-Websters Collegiate Dictionary - it is a continuing task or responsibility that one is destined or fitted to do or specially called to undertake (e.g his mission in life was to serve the humanity.)

Many of us think what our mission/s or goal in life is. Some considered it as a path for their journey in the future. Deciding or planning of what path you want to take or mission/s in life is somehow easy to do, it must be the desire of your deepest heart and determination that you can achieve and met your goal. It’s not only determination, but also, you must apply your learning’s, sacrificing, and the most of all willingness and motivation to pursue it. Having a so-called mission is like having a goal, just like in a soccer game, the mission of the players is to goal and to have a score and wins the battle. Most of us know what we want to achieve in the future, some are still finding their own journey.

I myself have trouble in finding my mission or goal in my life until the time comes that I must decide what life I want to live with. My mission in life is too simple, but I’m still imagining if I can really achieve it.

One of my missions in life is to finish my studies and get a bachelor degree in such a prestigious school and have a diploma, just like what other common student wants. Personally, it’s not easy to get a diploma; I must surpass the circumstances that I might encounter. And pay back to my parents for what they sacrifices for me; like today, they sacrifice a lot to gave me a wonderful life, for giving me a highly education since I started schooling and sending me here in Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, even though, they know that It’s difficult for me to be apart from them; but still they supported me and for any decisions I made. I hope to pass the board examination and be a license Chemical Engineer, have a good and stable job, and I can help my family in deeds. And live a wonderful life in the future.

I also want to touch other peoples’ lives not only mentally and emotionally, but also spiritually. I want to spread the words of GOD, because I felt happiness when I’m sharing HIS words. I want to continually serve HIM and my ministry because I know; having a strong faith to HIM is the same as completing or achieving my mission in life as a human being. That’s why we’re living in this world for a good purpose.

IN GOD’s WILL, I DECLARED SUCCESS!

Because HE WINS the BATTLE for me before I will ENCOUNTER it.
